The Brown County Historical Society has a couple of upcoming events in December.
First, on Dec. 2nd and 3rd we are hosting the Hazelwood Holiday Tea from 1-3 p.m. $20.00/person. Reservations are required due to limited seating. Visitors will enjoy a three course luncheon with bite size goodies like cucumber sandwiches, chicken salad, ginger bread, cookies and of course TEA! While enjoying their savory treats, our visitors will listen to a program about the History of Christmas Carols and maybe even sing some of their favorite songs! After having all the treats, visitors are welcome to go upstairs and take a tour of the house!
Second, on Dec. 10th and 17th from 12-4; 5-8 and Dec. 11th and 18th from 12-4 we are hosting “A Dickens of a Christmas!” General admission: $5.00/adults, $4.00/Seniors (60+) and $3.00/Children (5-17). Visitors will have a chance to roam through the house, visiting with their favorite characters from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
